About Me

Alessandra Snavely

With 9 years of dedicated experience in psychotherapy, I am passionate about supporting individuals, particularly youth, in navigating life's challenges and fostering healthier futures. My journey began with a profound desire to empower others through their struggles and transitions.

My career has encompassed diverse settings including day centers for adults with severe mental illness, crisis shelters for youth, and community mental health services. For the past year, I have been privileged to work directly with clients in private practice.

I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, teen therapy, and grief counseling. My therapeutic toolbox includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), positive psychology, and a client-centered approach.

At the heart of my practice is meeting clients where they are, fostering a collaborative and non-judgmental environment. I believe in the importance of feedback to tailor therapy to each individual's needs, ensuring effective and personalized care.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California for nearly 4 years, I am committed to ongoing professional growth through regular supervision and continuing education.

I work with teens and adults as individuals seeking support in overcoming obstacles, healing from trauma, and enhancing their overall well-being.

I specialize in online therapy sessions, providing a convenient and accessible way for clients throughout California to receive support from the comfort of their homes.

My own experiences as a client have shaped my empathetic approach, emphasizing the importance of a supportive therapeutic relationship and continuous personal growth.

I invite you to take the first step toward positive change. Contact me today to schedule a session and embark on your journey towards healing and personal growth.
